Chris WallerThrough hard work, dedication and a keen interest in doing the best for his horses, Chris Waller has systematically developed his training operation at Rosehill Gardens, to enable him to win the last 8 Sydney metropolitan trainers' premierships, and in doing so, he broke the record for the all time greatest number of metropolitan winners in Sydney in a single season in the 2015-2016 season with 169 winners and then again in the 2017-2018 season with 189 winners. This has culminated in Chris reaching even loftier heights in the past five consecutive seasons (2012-2013 through to 2017-2018), with the Champion trainer winning the most Group 1 races throughout Australia.
Chris attributes much of his stable's extraordinary success to the team of staff he has around him. Conscious of the cost of investing in and maintaining a thoroughbred racehorse in the metropolitan area, Chris prides himself on his stable communication to owners and he has a healthy respect for each owner's individual investment. Chris Waller Racing's owners have been further rewarded with even more opportunities for returns on their ownership investment when the stable expanded its presence in metropolitan racing several years ago with the acquisition of 26 stable boxes at the prestigious Flemington racecourse. This foresight has enabled Chris to feature prominently in the metropolitan trainers' premiership table in Melbourne, together with achieving spectacular results throughout the world famous Spring Carnival in Melbourne. At the beginning of the 2017-2018 season, Chris opened a Gold Coast stable to further benefit the stable's clients.
Chris concluded the 2017-2018 season with 13 Group 1 wins, 189 Sydney metropolitan winners and total prize money earnings exceeding $34 million. Amongst his stable of outstanding horses is the best horse in all the land, the current highest rated horse in the worldwide rankings, the internationally acclaimed WINX.
