Star Thoroughbreds Highlights
We were delighted to secure one of the last colts by outstanding sire and Star Thoroughbreds Champion, Sebring. A powerful, quality individual, this colt from a well-performing 2YO family and on type looks built to replicate the early success his pedigree suggests he is inclined toward.

“Training for Star Thoroughbreds is a delightful experience. From entry point through to a young horse’s race career right up until his or her retirement, the Star team have a very well thought out system to look after their clients’ investment and the horse equally. Training for Star is a common sense approach where the horse comes first; we do the right thing by them and the investor continues to enjoy their involvement with us with anticipation of success on the racetrack, whilst creating new friendships with their racing partners. Denise and her team ensure that racing with Star is absolutely a 5 star experience.”

This colt is one of the last yearlings by Golden Slipper winning stallion and champion sire Sebring, one of our treasured Star Thoroughbreds Champions. As a 2YO he won five of his six starts, including the Golden Slipper and the Sires’ Produce Stakes. As a stallion, Sebring has sired 51 Stakes winners, including Group 1 winners Dissident, Criterion, Egg Tart and Lucky Bubbles to name a few.
This classy colt is out of Lumic, who is from the family of Champion 2YO filly Midnight Fever and many other top juvenile performers. She is a half-sister to Stakes winner Woppitt (pictured). Lumic is by Haradasun, a triple Group 1 winner by Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegaus out of AJC Oaks winner Circles of Gold, the dam of Elvstroem.
Located in the heart of North East of Victoria, the beautiful Hollylodge Thoroughbreds farm is situated on 131 acres of land that runs alongside Hughes Creek at Avenel.
