Intelligent and switched-on, this filly by first-season sire, The Autumn Sun certainly caught our eye at the Kulani Park draft. Closely resembling her sire in looks and formation, she moves freely and with purpose and has a lovely head. She has an impressive pedigree to match and we’re excited by her racing prospects.

“I haven’t seen a better walking filly all year. Moves with great purpose – her stretch in front and the way she uses her hind legs is phenomenal. Very surprised to be able to secure a filly by The Autumn Sun for this price. His yearlings have been amongst the most popular at each sale this year to date.”   – Brett Howard

The Autumn Sun’s first crop of yearlings are selling in 2022. Standing at Arrowfield Stud, he was a spectacular star of his generation. As the best racing colt by supersire Redoute's Choice, he was a five-time Group 1 winner at two and three and the only horse to win the Caulfield, Randwick and Rosehill Guineas. He retired in 2019 with a Timeform figure of 126 - equaling that of his sire’s.
By UK stallion Captain Rio, Brazilian Pulse was a five-time winner including the Group 1 VRC Oaks, the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes and the Group 3 Keith F Nolan Stakes. From her 13 career starts, she also placed another four times in Group company. There is also an abundance of international black-type performers in her family. This filly is her eighth foal, of which five have raced and four are winners.
Kulani Park is located in the Goulburn Weir near Nagambie, Victoria’s thoroughbred heartland. The farm has been run by experienced horse people, Rhys and Chloe Smith and their family. The Smiths have a well-earned reputation in the breeding industry as the ‘pink-hooking kings’ and have a great eye for a horse. Kulani Park has previously sold the likes of Group 1 winners Zoustar, Black Piranha and Once Were Wild.

This filly is $31,500 (inc GST) per 10% share or $15,750 (inc GST) per 5% share. This filly is 95% SOLD.
