INFINITIVE broke through for her maiden win at just her third career start yesterday when racing over 1,400 metres at Newcastle. The 3 year old daughter of Hellbent jumped well from the barriers to settle fifth one off the fence between horses where she travelled well for jockey Lee Magorrian. The race pressure built from the 500 metres mark and she was full of running without a lot of room for a big striding filly. Lee continued to help her build through her gears in the straight and once a gap appeared, she shot through and was very strong over the final 100 metres to run over the top of the leader on the line. Lee commented post race that INFINITIVE “relaxed well, showed a good turn of foot and she is a professional filly with a bright future”.
INFINITIVE was a 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sale purchase and is raced by a “Ladies Only” syndicate. She was in the Torryburn Stud draft and her dam Alecia Beth is from one of the best families in the Australian Studbook (think Not A Single Doubt, Snippets, Forensics).
Congratulations to the winning INFINITIVE owners Boeara Holdings (Manager: Denise Dunphy), Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), Christine Cook, Patricia Egan, Margaret Frew, Margaret Roberts, Catherine O’Brien, Pauline Hepburn, Loretta Brackley, Robyn Sperling, Raelene Glasgow, Joan Evatt.
