On the Sunday before the Magic Millions 2020 yearling sale commenced, 2018 graduate DUNEAGLE broke through with an exciting maiden win at Wyong at just his second career start.

The 3 year old gelding jumped well and visiting Irish jockey Oisin Orr took a sit behind the leader, 3rd on the fence where he travelled well through the mid stages of the 1,350 metres event. Oisin eased DUNEAGLE off the fence at the 350 metres mark and the gelding showed a good turn of foot to hit the front at the 200m. He was a little green over the concluding stages but was still able to put a win on the board first up this preparation. Oisin commented post race that the gelding “always travelled like the winner”.

DUNEAGLE is by Dissident out of the lovely mare Certitude who raced in our purple and white stars. He was a Star yearling purchase from the draft of Newgate Farm at the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sale.
