We have been fortunate to enjoy many memorable moments on the racetrack with our Foxwedge mare NOIRE so it was a more than fitting send off for her at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale on Friday when selling in the virtual auction for $800,000 to the bid of world renowned Japanese breeder Katsumi Yoshida.
Our talented 6 year old mare earned almost $700,000 in prize money during her racing career, highlighted by her win in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes and a 3rd placing in this season’s Group 1 Coolmore Classic. Thank you to Chris Waller and his team for their wonderful management and training of NOIRE.
From an exceptionally strong female family, NOIRE was bought as a pass in at the 2015 Inglis Easter sale for $135,000 following the advice of Brett Howard from Randwick Bloodstock. She has been a very successful investment for her group of Star owners.
NOIRE was prepared for the sale under the draft of Glenesk Thoroughbreds. Special thanks to Brett and Rachael Howard, together with their team for the outstanding work they did leading up to the sale to show NOIRE to prospective buyers in impeccable fashion.
