SUMMIT raced at Beaudesert yesterday over 1,200 metres with Brandon Lerena aboard. The 3 year old gelding jumped a touch slowly from the barriers and as a result settled in a rail position at the rear of the field behind a moderate upfront tempo. From the 400 metres mark, the race for home began to take shape and a gap appeared in the straight which SUMMIT dutifully took for Brandon and the son of Zoustar hit the line strongly to break through for his maiden win.

Brandon commented post race that it was a tough effort from SUMMIT and he will likely take great confidence from the win going forward.

SUMMIT was a 2024 Inglis Premier yearling purchase from the draft of Rosemont Stud. He is the first foal from Group 3 MRC Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies) winner A Beautiful Night.
