CANARA rewarded her owners with an overdue win at Eagle Farm yesterday compliments of a front running ride by Kyle Wilson-Taylor. The daughter of I Am Invincible was Stakes placed as a 2 year old before breaking her maiden as a 3 year old at Moonee Valley. There have been many placings added to her CV in between but it was wonderful to see her return to the winner’s circle on Wednesday.

The now 4 year old mare jumped sharply and Kyle took her straight to the lead. Approaching the bend, CANARA travelled well and once balanced in the straight, she accelerated nicely and was too good for her rivals over the latter stages to win comfortably by 1.8 lengths. Kyle commented post race that the mare “executed a good plan and she showed her class today… she was too good.”

Congratulations to the winning CANARA owners Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), Bangaloe Stud (Manager: Julia Ritchie), Felgate Holdings (Manager: Paul Felgate), Martin Ive, Rachel Ive, Nick Vass Bloodstock (Manager: Nick Vass), Boeara Holdings (Manager: Denise Dunphy), Letmar Investments Pty Ltd (Manager: Lester Durney), Dianne Handley, Scott Maybury, CGO Racing Pty Ltd.
