SKYWRITER supported the sentiment “a mare in form” yesterday with another win at Doomben compliments of a great Ryan Maloney ride.

The daughter of Written Tycoon began well and eased back to get a similar run to last start also over 1,350 metres. She travelled midfield on the fence with Ryan settling her behind one of the main dangers. SKYWRITER tracked up nicely approaching the turn and once again displayed her turn of foot as she came through runners in the straight. A head to head battle ensued and SKYWRITER showed tenacity to win in a photo finish.

Ryan was very happy with the mare post race commenting that “the second horse didn’t lie down so she had to dig deep, it was great to see”. Onward and upwards now with “a mare in form”!
