Magic Millions sale week is always one we eagerly look forward to each year and of course the Saturday race day held at the Gold Coast Turf Club is a major highlight. INVINCIBELLA returned this year to defend her title in the $1 million Magic Millions Fillies and Mares and we couldn’t be more proud of her stellar achievement to win the race two years in a row.

Jockey Hugh Bowman utilised the good barrier (3) and had the 5 year old mare in a midfield position throughout the very early stages of the 1,300 metres event. INVINCIBELLA had top weight to carry but this didn’t appear to cause an issue as she began to let down strongly in the home straight once she saw “daylight” and the mare claimed a narrow but decisive win after last year’s “heart stopper”.

The daughter of boom sire I Am Invincible was a “Class of 2015” Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling purchase from the draft of Sledmere Stud. She has enjoyed a brilliant 12 months on the track with three Group 2 wins as well as the two $1 million victories on the Coast. INVINCIBELLA is now a $2 million earner and there’s no reason to believe that there isn’t more to come still. What a wonderful race mare she has become.

Congratulations to the winning INVINCIBELLA owners Francis Kennedy, Barbara Kennedy, Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), Andrew Grant-Taylor, Matthew Stiff, Michael Birchall, Catherine Birchall, Russell West, P & S Glenney & S McKee Racing (Manager: Patti Glenney), Ray Aurisch, Helen Aurisch, Boeara Holdings (Denise Dunphy).
