After an encouraging second in his Australian debut two weeks ago, BORN A KING (GB) went one better and scored his first win down under at Rosehill yesterday. Under a masterful ride by Jason Collett, this son of supersire Frankel (GB) is on track to establishing a good reputation here in Australia.

BORN A KING (GB) ran on a good 3 surface over 1,500 metres. He began on terms from his barrier and settled in the second half of the field where he travelled tractably throughout. Once he got into the clear over the final 200 metres he let down strongly to the line to come away with a well-deserved win. Jason was delighted with him, saying the tempo was genuine which allowed him to build nicely into the race. He attacked the line nicely in the end and will likely appreciate more cut in the ground than today’s fast track.

Congratulations to our Star owners involved in the ownership of BORN A KING (GB).
