Talented mare CENTRESTONE made it 4 wins from just 10 starts with a late finishing burst to win easily on the line at Eagle Farm on Saturday in a fillies and mares benchmark 78. A patient ride by Mark du Plessis allowed CENTRESTONE to settle towards the back of the field where she remained for the first two thirds of the race, looking to travel easily and as Mark explained later, very happily. Once the group was well into the home straight, he began to weave through the field with the mare responding well, gathering momentum the closer to the winning post they actually got and in the end with just over a length the final winning margin. Overall it looked a relatively soft win by the 5 year old daughter of the now deceased Hinchinbrook and with her very significant Black type pedigree CENTRESTONE clearly looks well capable of adding to her residual value when she is eventually retired to stud which will hopefully be some time away yet.

Congratulations to the winning CENTRESTONE owners Felgate Holdings (Manager: Paul Felgate), Martin Ive, Rachel Ive, Nick Vass Bloodstock (Manager: Nick Vass), Ray Aurisch, Estate of the late Helen Aurisch, Boeara Holdings (Manager: Denise Dunphy), Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), Anthony Parkes, Simone Daly, Greg Bertram, Steven Kelly, Clive Delmenico, Anne Hickey, Lissa Sachr.
