As a three year old daughter of Wootton Bassett (GB), FLAXLANDS has taken time to fully strengthen and mature and she recorded her second career win at Doomben yesterday compliments of a masterful Ryan Maloney ride. FLAXLANDS jumped well in the 1,350 metres event and Ryan allowed the filly to cross the field and settle behind what the market deemed to be her main danger. The filly travelled comfortably and once Ryan got the split upon turning for home, it was a comfortable watch for those cheering home FLAXLANDS. She let down strongly and won well with a comfortable 1.2 length margin.

Ryan commented post race that things panned out exactly as he had hoped and that FLAXLANDS presented herself on race day with a great attitude and the ability to match.
