Four year old gelding JUPITUS resumed with an impressive victory at the Kensington meeting yesterday over 1,400 metres. With James McDonald in the saddle, the gelding jumped from the widest barrier in the 9 horse field and settled at the rear through the early stages. As the runners approached the turn, James angled the son of the late Sebring into a three wide line to begin his run on a day at Kensington where few runners were making up ground in the straight. JUPITUS defied the track bias however letting down in slick style and gaining momentum all the way to go from last to first and win on the line. It was a terrific win for a progressive gelding.
Congratulations to the winning JUPITUS owners Boeara Holdings (Manager: Denise Dunphy), Vincent Ip, Rachel Ive, Scott Maybury, Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), Ray Aurisch, The Late Helen Aurisch, Felgate Holdings (Manager: Paul Felgate), Jim Hepburn, Margaret Roberts, Leon Mugavin, Roger Cheetham, Martin Chong.
