JUPITUS is a lightly raced 4 year old son of Sebring and he recorded his second career victory when flashing home at Ladbrokes Park Hillside over 1,500 metres yesterday. The gelding began a little slowly from an outside draw and jockey Damian Lane had to opt for a spot at the rear of the field where JUPITUS travelled a touch keen initially but eventually relaxed and found a nice rhythm midway through the race. Upon straightening, Damian took the gelding to the outside to work around the field and once JUPITUS found clear galloping room, he let down powerfully, reeling in the field and hitting the line in front to win comfortably by 1 length.

Damian was very pleased with JUPITUS post race especially liking the way he let down in the home straight; the gelding looks a progressive type going forward this preparation.
