After a breakout win three weeks ago, KUBRICK kept the confidence rolling and posted another win over 1,600 metres at Doomben on Saturday.

With James Orman riding, KUBRICK jumped away from the gates well but from the wide gate he came back to settle second last, about 7-8 lengths off a good speed. At the 600 metres mark, James started rolling forward three wide, but still 5 lengths behind at the top of the straight. Once he balanced up, he knuckled down and picked them up quickly and came away with a 3.5 length win. James said he was back to his brilliant best today, he did not just win well, he won with a big weight, coming from well back and was the KUBRICK of old.

With his total earnings at $999,950, KUBRICK now sits just $50 away from being Australia’s newest racing millionaire.
