The 3 year year old filly by Sweynesse had won at Stakes level in New Zealand prior to a group of Star owners joining with other people to race her here in Australia with Chris where she had 3 times previously to yesterday’s win at Canterbury Park. Brenton Avdulla was complimentary of the filly post race explaining that he felt he was on the eventual winner a long way from home. Like a large number of horses originally trained elsewhere, ONLY WORDS (NZ) has taken a while to acclimatise into Sydney racing, but now that she has that first win on the board, she looks a progressive filly who should “go on with it” from here. It would seem likely that she will seek those Black type races in Queensland in coming weeks.
