After some months away from racing our talented 5 year old mare OLENTIA made a great return on Saturday winning the 1,200 metres Group 3 The Nivison at Rosehill Gardens hopefully ensuring that she will now be presented with an invitation to the newly upgraded $2 million Group 2 The Invitation later this month. The daughter of super sire Zoustar is already the winner of the Group 2 Emancipation during this year’s Sydney Autumn Carnival and with the belief that OLENTIA is a Group 1 winner in waiting her future programs will have this focus high on the priority list.

Jockey Tommy Berry knows the mare well and was mindful of her great first up record and the misfortune the pair experienced last time she returned to racing, when she was unlucky not to have also won first up then. This time Tommy made sure she had plenty of space on the outside of the field in the straight and the mare again displayed her excellent acceleration to win comfortably by a length on the line.

With special thanks to the team at Chris Waller Racing for taking the time with exceptional planning to have OLENTIA return to racing in such great fashion.

Congratulations to the winning OLENTIA owners Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), Martin Ive, Rachel Ive, Roger Cheetham, Jeremy Rosenthal, Boeara Holdings (Manager: Denise Dunphy), Felgate Holdings (Manager: Paul Felgate), Damien Reed, Brad Russell, Ray Aurisch, CGO Racing.
