SAVEUR broke her maiden on Saturday at the Gold Coast when winning over 1,400 metres with Sean Cormack aboard. The 3 year old daughter of Ole Kirk began well and settled behind the leading quartet in a race with genuine upfront tempo. Sean pulled the filly wide as she improved approaching the turn and upon straightening, SAVEUR hit the front. She sustained a long run to the line, keeping her rivals at bay to lead home a stable quinella.

SAVEUR still has a bit to learn according to Sean’s post race commentary so she will likely take a lot of benefit from Saturday’s win.

The filly was a 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling sale purchase from the draft of North. Her name was inspired by her dam Tang. SAVEUR is French for flavour.
