Our purple and white stars have been racing in great form as of late and it continued yesterday at Ipswich as SIBYLLA saluted in the 1,710 metres event courtesy of a patient ride from Ryan Maloney.

The 3 year old daughter of Divine Prophet jumped well from the inside draw and made the opposition work into the first turn as she raced in third position along the fence. Once the speed was put on mid-race, she was shuffled back to midfield about 6 lengths off the leaders but Ryan bided his time as the filly travelled comfortably. SIBYLLA was eased out from the 500 metres mark before peeling into clear room upon straightening and she let down in a strong effort to put the field away quickly. The 2.3 length win was the second of her career to date and she looks like she will continue to progress in her coming starts.

Congratulations to the winning SIBYLLA owners Philip Evans, Michael Egan, Andrew Grant-Taylor, Nielma Grant-Taylor, Jason Roberts, Boeara Holdings (Manager: Denise Dunphy), Paramount Racing (Manager: Kathryn Wood), David Wilson, Heather Wilson, Col Russell, Paul Gray, Margaret Roberts, J And T Racing (Manager: Jason Rose).
